Origins of the Golf Ball

Origins of the Golf Ball

Starting from an earliest form of golf ball through the Featherie period to the Gutta Percha era of the latter half of the 19th century, this is a well presented piece of golfing history with an explanation of the evolution of the golf ball over 6 centuries.
There has been no greater influence on the development of golf than the ball.  It has driven everything from club design to course architecture these past 600+ years.  The balls closely resemble the originals.
