Hugh Philp Putter c1850

An original Hugh Philp putter is regarded as the Stradivarius of golf clubs.  Philp was renowned for his meticulous approach to club making. Ever since his death in 1856 he has been universally recognised as one of the finest artisan clubmakers – this exact reproduction of the original pays true homage to Philp’s legacy.

This club has been reproduced from the original putter used by Hugh McFie to win the first Amateur Championship at Hoylake in 1885. The original now resides in the R&A collection in St Andrews.
