Hugh Philp’s clubs were regarded as the Stradivarius’s of golf clubs. Philp was renowned for his meticulous approach to club making. Ever since his death in 1856 he has been universally recognised as one of the finest clubmaking artisans – this exact reproduction of the original pays true homage to Philp’s legacy.
The name was derived from the ancient Scot’s word, ’baff’ or hit. The club was designed to be played as a modern wedge cut shot to float the feathery ball softly onto the green.
